Getting started
I hate to transport us back to the '90s and say "this tool works best in..." but you may find that it works best in Chrome. It works thanks to WebMIDI.js by djip.co and we are at the mercy of the security measures of the modern OS and browser as well as your browser supporting WebMIDI.
On a Mac I don't think it will work at all in Safari. In Firefox you will need to restart the browser in order to see changes to the connection status. In Chrome it should work as expected.
Your browser may ask you to install an extension and/or approve access to MIDI. It should guide you through this.
A video showing how to use this configurator is here.
Firmware
All of the above configurations should work with any version of e-ther hardware. However, you may need up-to-date firmware.
Details and download link for any major public updates should be mailed out to e-ther owners. Feel free to email any time for a link.
